In the month of May we ran a promotion to help provide to our local homeless veterans camp. Wow, what an experience! Our community came our in force for this cause! We ended up having a van STUFFED full of goods for them. These brave men and women sacrificed so much to provide the freedoms we are experiencing, this was just one of the many ways we plan on saying thank you to them!
The most wonderful time of the year is here! The different local activities are plentiful for us here in Arizona during the Christmas season. Beautiful weather combined with a family friendly community makes for the happiest season of all. We've compiled a list of the most popular Christmas activities to do this year! The Southwest NutcrackerThe season wouldn't be complete without the Nutcracker! The Tucson Regional Ballet is putting on the Nutcracker this weekend (December 10th and 11th). TIckets can be purchased right before the show. Zoo Lights at Reid ParkEnjoy the Reid Park Zoo lit up with beautiful Christmas lights. You might even get a visit from the man in red and white himself! Going from now until December 23rd! Pancakes with Santa Toy DriveRural/Metro Fire Department, Southwest Ambulance, and Rancho Sahuarita are putting together a pancake breakfast for a great cause! All of the toy gift donations will go to Toys for Tots. Bring your cameras, because Santa is making it to this event too! Winter Festival and Light Parade!Here's the parade that everyone is looking for! Located by the Town Hall Complex in Sahuarita, there will be many local business and a food drive to help those in need. Parade is on December 17th from 6 PM - 10 PM. Annual Downtown Parade of Lights - TucsonHere is another great parade with many local businesses from the Tucson area. This has been a tradition for more than 20 years! Stick around after the parade and see the Mayor Tree Lighting Ceremony. Get the season kicked off as soon as this weekend!
